The Future of 'Tis the Season

'Tis the Season has been around for 3 years now and I have enjoyed doing it!  Probably my all time favorite has been the (2010) 25 Days of Christmas Cookies.  They were so much fun to make and eat.    However, it takes up so much of my time.  Right now I need a break.  For how long?  I don't honestly know.  Will I be back?  Maybe.  Thank you to those of you who have commented and tried recipes and ideas posted on here.  It's been fun!

'Tis the Season for Pinterest - Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

New Year's Countdown

Obviously, I have not done this (since today is New Year's Eve) but think it is a fun way to count down the hours (if you stay up that late) to midnight.  You could do it all day (although it might get annoying to try to remember to pop the balloon each and every hour) or just during a party (although if you have small children that you send to bed before midnight, this might not be the best idea).  As you can see I have mixed emotions about this idea.  It may just all stem from my fear of balloons popping.

'Tis the Season for Pinterest - Chick-fil-a Nuggets & Sauce

These nuggets & sauce were right on!  They tasted just like the real thing!  They are a bit involved to make but if you are craving Chick-fil-a nuggets and don't want to go out and spend the money or you don't have one close, these are the way to go!  Big thumbs up!

*Note:  I used recipes from 2 different sources since I liked the nuggets from one and the sauce from the other.

'Tis the Season for Pinterest - Coffee Beans & Vanilla Candle

Coffee Beans & Vanilla Candle

This combination was said (per Pinterest people - Pinners, I guess?) to be a "heavenly combination".  If only it worked, I would have agreed.  If you stood directly over the candle, and sniffed deeply, you could smell the "heavenly combination."  As for it permeating my house, it did not work.  I was sorely disappointed and have resorted to my traditional pot on the stove (for a stronger smell put in crockpot on high) of cinnamon sticks, whole allspice and whole cloves (can also add orange slices and/or whole cranberries).  Smells just as good, if not better!
