'Tis the Season to be an Elf - Idea #7

Idea #7 - Cookie Dough

For some cookie ideas, try some from 'Tis the Season's 2010 25 Days of Christmas Cookies (on the right side of blog, look under themes and click on (2010) 25 Days of Christmas Cookies).

For an idea on wrapping your cookie dough, print your cookie recipe and baking instructions on white paper or vellum. Tie it around a frozen log of dough wrapped in parchment (see picture below).

'Tis the Season to be an Elf - Idea #6

Idea #6 - Hot Chocolate

Mason jars are all the rage!  Probably because they are so versatile.  And easy to acquire.  Sorry, just wanted to rhyme.

Hot Chocolate Mix

2 cups dry milk
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1/2 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallows

Mix first 4 ingredients together well. Layer mix then chocolate chips adding marshmallows on top. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.

'Tis the Season to be an Elf - Idea #5

Idea #5 - Dish Cloth and Towel

A big bow tied around the two sets and the gift is good to go.  Doesn't get much easier than that!

Idea #4 - Lotion

A simple (and smelly) way to give lotion is to take an empty soap box (like Dial or Irish Springs - whatever you have on hand), cut the top off, wrap it with wrapping paper and tape handles to the inside of the box (see picture below if you are now confused). Fill box with tissue paper and lotion.

Idea #3 - Root Beer and a can of Beans

There is not much to enhance the appearance of a bottle of root beer and a can of beans.  Add a ribbon if you must.

This is an odd combination at best, but there is no denying how hilarious that caption is! Hilarious trumps odd!
