Glad You "Fluttered" By

Guess what today is? The long awaited National Bird Day.

"National Bird Day" is not only a good day to take time to appreciate the native wild birds flying free outside our windows, it is also a perfect time to reflect on how we treat the native birds of other countries.

Well, since I haven't the opportunity to fly to another country to specifically care for their birds, I will take the time to appreciate the native wild birds flying free outside my windows by putting cranberry and popcorn garland on the perfect bird feeding tree in our backyard.

Cranberry and Popcorn Garland

What you'll need:
  • Day old popped popcorn
  • Semi-frozen cranberries
  • Dried cranberries
  • Fishing line
  • Needle with large eye

Simply string the cranberries and popcorn on the fishing line.

Hang on your perfect bird feeding tree. Sit back and watch the birds enjoy!

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
