Want to "get" your family and friends on April Fool's Day? Try serving them these mashed potatoes. PS: The recipe for peas & carrots still needs a little work (no joke!). Be on the lookout for them at a later time though!
"Mashed Potatoes"
Cupcakes
White frosting
Caramel sauce
Yellow Starbursts
Cut the yellow Starburst into a 1-inch square.
Spread the vanilla frosting on cupcakes, mounding it slightly. Use a small spoon to create a well in the center of the frosting. *Next time, I would also ice the sides all the way to the bottom of the cupcake to give it a "heaping mound" look.
Place the Starburst in the well at an angle. Heat the caramel sauce for 2 - 4 seconds in the microwave and drizzle it on top of the cupcake so that it fills the well and spills over like gravy.
These make me laugh and smile!
