National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day

So what is so exciting about peanut butter and jelly? Have you ever had it grilled? Like you would a grilled cheese sandwich? No? Let me introduce to you a sandwich that could very well double as dessert. Mmmm.... My Chris introduced me to this phenomenon and let me tell you how thankful I am.

Simply make your peanut butter and jelly sandwich except butter the outside of your bread (like you would a grilled cheese). Throw it on your griddle and cook until the bread is golden brown and the peanut butter is soft and melty. Sit back and enjoy the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich!

Sorry for no picture. I ended up grabbing a bite to eat yesterday instead of making this sandwich like I had originally planned.

  1. If you think that's heavenly, you should try a Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich with cinnamon-sugar sprinkled on the outside before grilling!!! Mmm, mmm!

The recipe is listed at the end of this post on my blog: http://inthelifeofalott.blogspot.com/2009/06/everything-but-kitchen-sink.html
